Christmas at Big Red’s Ranch is a festive, family-centered event that transforms the ranch into a glowing holiday destination. I led the event’s branding, map design, marketing, environmental design, and print materials while also serving as the event photographer and videographer. My goal was to design an identity that captured the warmth and nostalgia of Christmas through twinkling lights, festive visuals, and creative storytelling.
I created the event logo, illustrated map, and cohesive branding system for both print and digital platforms. The map guided families through the main attractions, using cool blues visuals to reflect the magic of nighttime festivities while keeping navigation simple and family-friendly.
I developed a full suite of print materials, including VIP passes, staff badges, signage and digital assets. These materials created a consistent visual flow from marketing to the on-site experience.
The Christmas Scavenger Hunt was designed to help guests explore the ranch’s 60 acres of trails, lights, and attractions. Families and couples received a printed map that encouraged them to visit key destinations such as Santa’s Toy Island, the Candy Cane Trail, and the Light Tunnel. Guests who completed the full scavenger hunt earned a limited-edition illustrated pin as a keepsake, a tradition that quickly became one of the event’s most popular features. The scavenger hunt not only inspired families to explore every corner of the ranch but also created lasting memories and boosted participation across the entire event space.
The marketing campaign included a mix of billboards, digital graphics, and printed ads. I designed an animated social media version and a snow globe-inspired magazine ad featuring a scannable QR code that directed viewers to event ticketing. This campaign emphasized the immersive nature of the event and helped drive early ticket sales and volunteer sign-ups.
I designed and decorated a series of themed trails to create immersive family experiences. Each trail offered unique photo opportunities and interactive elements that encouraged guests to explore and brought holiday stories to life.
The Grinch Trail featured photo ops and handmade props inspired by Dr. Seuss’s Christmas classic. The trail encouraged guests to take fun, lighthearted photos with the Grinch and his mischievous scenes.
The Elf Trail offered an interactive experience that included a snowball fight game, where kids threw plush snowballs at “Christmas villains” from movies and shows. I designed the illustrated window props and signage that turned the trail into a playful world of Christmas nostalgia and adventure.
